Reporting Relationship: The Senior Software Engineer will report to the Vice President Technology.
Role & Responsibilities: Position Description
This position is for a Senior Software Engineer / Software Architect who will be part of the team working on state of the art technologies and defining and implementing enterprise architecture. This person will be responsible for defining architecture, documenting high level design, proof of concepts, working with the offshore Engineering team, participate in design and code reviews, co-ordinate between different functional groups, etc. The candidate must possess extensive knowledge of web application design patterns. The candidate must be able to produce design, document and communicate efficiently. He/She should be a quick learner and open to learning new technologies in related areas.
Experience/Qualification: - 5+ years of experience in Enterprise software development
- Knowledge of different phases of SDLC
- Extensive architecture, design and UML experience
- Extensive knowledge of web application architecture and developing reusable components
- Extensive experience developing scalable and secure enterprise applications
- Experience in Business Intelligence is preferred
- Extensive experience with .NET and Java technologies
- Experienced with Silverlight development is preferred
- Experienced with relational databases is preferred
- Experience with Java application server (WAS, JBOSS) and IIS is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Experience working with offshore teams in India and Europe
